In anticipation of this week's key match-up against the Miami Caliente, the Philadelphia Passion will be hosting a Media Day on Thursday, November 5th at Sovereign Bank Arena. Media will have the opportunity to meet with the team in uniform to discuss Friday night's Home Opener as well as interview the players, and take photos and b-roll.
In preparation for the first Philadelphia Passion Lingerie Football League game on Friday night, the Sovereign Bank Arena will be converting the Trenton Devils hockey ice to turf. The Philadelphia Passion will be taking on the Miami Caliente on November 6 at 9pm.
Due to the high attendance expected on Friday, October 23 for Jeff Dunham, traffic advisory has been issued. Patrons attending the concert should plan to arrive early to allow for easy access to parking and arriving on time for the beginning of the event.
National Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is designed to bring students and job seekers with disabilities into the workplace where they can learn about various career opportunities. Through DMD, students or job seekers are paired with a career professional to learn what it means to work in that field or occupation –observe a typical workday, identify necessary skills, and learn about possible internships or employment prospects.
On Tuesday, October 20th, Sovereign Bank Arena will participate in National Disability Mentoring Day and host a group of local kids in this opportunity to underscore the connection between school and work.
In honor of Sovereign Bank Arena’s 10 year anniversary, County Executive Brian M. Hughes along with WWE Superstar John Morrison and WWE Divas the Bellas will help rename Hamilton Ave to Tenth Anniversary Ave on Tuesday, October 6 at 10am.
WWE was the first event held at Sovereign Bank Arena and returns ten years later to celebrate the arena’s ten year anniversary with SmackDown & ECW!
WWE Superstar John Morrison along with WWE Divas Brie and Nikki Bella will participate in the street renaming. Local children will be in attendance to watch the ceremony. The street will be renamed Tenth Anniversary Avenue for the entire year to celebrate the ten year anniversary.
